Cross-Dressing & The Law of Attraction

In 2006 a lady called Rhonda Byrne wrote about ‘The Secret’ (of success), the essence of which was The Law Of Attraction. Nowadays, if you Google ‘The Law Of Attraction’ you are likely to be presented with 5.4 million entries.

It states “That which is like into itself is drawn”, or in simple terms, the vibrations or essence of what we give out are always matched by the universe and returned to us.

 What the heck has this got to do with me as a Cross-Dresser? SO WHAT?, I hear you say!

 Well, here we go…… how many times have you felt terrified of what other people will think of you as a Cross-Dresser, Transvestite, ‘Tranny’? If you ever venture outside (and I know that for every Cross-Dresser who takes the massive step of leaving their house in female attire, there are probably 100’s, maybe 1,000’s who don’t!), you may be in constant turmoil about ‘being read’. For those new to the scene this is the term for being recognised as a man attempting to pass in public as a woman. Those inner voices are screaming:

•  Did he notice me?
• What is she thinking about how I look?
• Do I look ridiculous?
• Am I walking right?
• Am I dressed appropriately?
• Is my hair and make-up OK?
• Will anyone I know notice me?
• Did the neighbours see me when I left the house?
• How will I get back in unnoticed?

 I know all this because I’ve heard those same voices ever since I first ventured out at the age of about 15! The only people who post letters at midnight are transvestites!

Let’s say right now: “If you think you’re being read as a Cross-Dresser, then you probably are”!

I’m sure we’re all hyper-sensitive and have heard the whisper (or heckle) “I’m sure that’s a bloke – hey, Tranny!”? But you know what ……. SO WHAT?!

Did you know that we are each exposed to 2 million bits of experience per second, of which our brains can only process 134?! So, all these thoughts which are running through your head are difficult to control and one of the simplest rules of success we can abide by as Cross-Dressers is this:

“Control the things you CAN control. And if you can’t control things, then change the way you think about them.”

The one thing in life that no one else can control is your thoughts and your thoughts ultimately influence your behaviour. Therefore, THINK GOOD THINGS, because positive thoughts WILL lead to positive results (and negative thoughts WILL lead to negative results!). Our subconscious mind is at the root of our being and it doesn’t differentiate between the positive and negative, it will just do what you tell it to do regardless, and so why not focus on the positive?!

Why not start right now by appreciating how LUCKY (yes LUCKY!) you  are to feel the need to cross-dress? Whoa, that’s a bit of a dodgy thought, I hear you say!

Where you may have felt shame, feel proud. When you’re uncertain, feel secure.

Secure in the knowledge that you’re not the only one who feels the need to cross-dress (and you certainly won’t be the last!). Proud that you’re more sensitive than the ‘average Joe’ to Joanne’s feelings. For example, isn’t it one of the greatest feelings in the world to take your high shoes off after a night out? Your ‘average Joe’ will never get to experience that feeling or be able to share that insight with a woman! Here’s another one, have you ever noticed a girl’s label on her top is showing, told her, asked if it’s OK to help tuck it back in and then seen the smile on her face and sense of relief that you’ve helped her? How brilliant is that?! I do it all the time!
