Getting dressed as a woman is a thrilling experience. Lingerie on super soft smooth skin feels so natural. I just love the full and total transformation. The top layers though are what you see and how you present yourself to the world. Amanda wants a convincing professional look. I’m very confident in my own skin. Amanda is an integral part of me! I just love Karen Millen skirts, tops and dresses. I adore the fabrics, colours, styles and fit of her clothes. I’ve had several very complimentary comments about my clothes at Femesque Cheese and Wine evenings. Where do I get my bargains? Firstly, I regularly visit Karen Millen’s shop in Guildford. The girls know me and are very helpful. Secondly I go the their Gunwharf Quays outlet shop in Portsmouth, some real begins to be had. Lastly I use local dress agencies a lot. Some serious bargains can be found. The owners know Amanda well and will get in touch when Karen Millen clothing comes in. When out dressed in stylish clothes I feel very confident as a woman. Amanda loves shopping. She has just come back from Gunwharf Quays with some more stylish clothes. Girls get out and enjoy you female side. If you don’t have the confidence to go out on you own get in touch with the girls at Femesque. They will be more than happy to go with you and help you out. Get out and enjoy you feminine side.

Lots of love<br

Words fail me and nothing I write comes close to how I am feeling right now (yep, I’ve had several attempts and each time hit the delete button and started again). Any choice of words wouldn’t express the depth of gratitude I feel inside. So, all I can say is “thank you” and hope that you know exactly how heartfelt those simple words really are.

You have transformed my life. Not only are you delightful people you have established the most relaxing and equipped environment in which to express myself. For far too long I have remained hidden from view, including from myself, but today you revealed the real me to the world and gave me a wonderful gift; the confidence to continue on life’s journey as the person I really am in EVERY aspect. Today you completed me!!!

I am so looking forward to meeting the other girls (wow, that feels so great to say!!) and to experience a few hours being me and finally mixing socially. With your support, encouragement and, of course, expertise, I know I am in safe hands as I venture further in to the big wide world! Wow, what an adventure of discovery!

Anyone with the right basic skills can provide the service you do. The real difference is the way in which you have befriended, guided and totally relaxed me in to a world I thought was beyond my reach. So, once again, I’ll use two simple words in the hope that you will understand their true meaning “THANK YOU!”

I’m off to do some internet shopping now, a girl has to look good and feel good for her debut wine & cheese party after all!!

Oh, before I go – “THANK YOU!”

Suzie x

A message from Dee

Articles

Photography
<guid

If you have never been on a photoshoot/makeover before, you are so missing out – it is so much fun!

It all started with a friendly chat with the lovely Lynne at one of their well known cheese and wine evenings, we discussed what sort of look and photos I wanted, and they gave recommendations on outfits that would work best for me. I decided there where a few looks I wanted, so we settled on doing all three.

After an agreement on a date for the shoot, it was a matter of excitedly waiting for the day, it could not come quick enough!

When the day of the makeover/shoot came, Lynne gave me a warm welcome and we had a brief chat of what we were going to do for the day over a coffee. Afterwards, I eagerly went upstairs to the dressing/makeup room where they had prepared everything for my makeup and first outfit.

I quickly changed into a dressing gown and they worked their magic with all the great quality makeup they have. It did not disappoint! Femesque did an amazing job, applying the perfect combination of products which gave a very natural polished look, not to mention picking up a few little tips and tricks too!

If you have never had your makeup done for you, I urge you to try it, it is so relaxing and feels lovely to be pampered and made to feel special.

As the first look we decided to do first was lingerie, Lynne had picked out a lovely stretch lace slip dress that she thought would look nice on me, teamed up with some lace top holdups, satin heels and a satin gown, I felt so pretty and feminine and was utterly blown away on how i looked. Femesque truly understand what looks good and how to bring the best out in you.

So after a very enjoyable time being pampered and made up, it was time to have some photos taken! Lisa who is a talented professional tgirl photographer made me feel very much at ease, and gave me clear and precise directions to achieve the perfect poses that would bring the best out in me.

We stopped for a brief lunch and refreshments, before carrying on with two further changes in my own favourite outfits for the remainder of the photoshoot, it was a fantastic, tiring, but oh so rewarding day.

The photos exceeded my expectations. I am truly thrilled and proud of them, I can only have nothing but praise and thanks for the team at Femesque.

If you are looking to have some professional quality photos taken of you in a friendly, comfortable surroundings and want to pampered like a princess, I can not recommend Femesque enough.
As you know by now I am very particular in makeup and dressing for our T, girls, I feel that everything underneath is as important as your makeup. If you get the right bra and underwear it streamlines the outfit and gives you the most amazing silhouette, since working for Lynne I have learnt about wigs and how the right cut can hugely impact on your final look.

So girls for the enigma ball, I would generally love to give guidance on putting yourself together. I love my job and hope that comes across when working with my clients, I personally want our girls at Femesque to look a million dollars because if you don’t well quite frankly it reflects on me.

So why not go all out and get to us early. I have spoken to Lynne and asked if she would drop the shopping service prices for this occasion, so I can be there from beginning to end.
I hope to see you all very soon.

Kind Regards,
I read an article recently by Henri Junttila at www.wakeupcloud.com called “The 7 harsh truths they don’t tell you about following your passion”. This prompted me to write this piece about cross-dressing/ transvestism/ transgender (whatever you want to call it).

I would argue that, for a lot of ‘us’ across the transgender spectrum, the ultimate goal is “to find and be happy with myself in my alter-image”. If you have any thoughts on this please let’s open up the discussion, and feel free to comment.

In his article Henri listed the following route-guide to achieving your passion:

Hard work

Persistence

Fear

Confusion

Action

Determination

Fulfilment

I’d like to begin with numbers 4 and 3, CONFUSION and FEAR, because for a lot of us, these are the first feelings we encounter when we realise we’re ‘different’. As an alpha-male in today’s society one of the most difficult things in the world is to become aware that you find some sort of pleasure/ comfort/ release in wearing women’s clothes, and then come to terms with it in your own mind before you let others in on your secret feelings:

“It’s not the done thing!”

“Real men don’t eat quiche, never mind putting on a dress!”

“What will my mates/ partner/ family think?”

The left-brain rational ‘male’ clicks in and you try to apply logic to understand why you should want to do it – “I’m not gay so why do I want to do THIS, it’s not normal, is it?” In my experience, and according to lots of other articles on the subject, the majority of TV’s are heterosexual males, so you actually are NOT alone.

And then something you don’t understand can lead to fear. So you keep it locked up inside of you, you don’t tell anyone because of what they may think of you. You remain in the safety of your comfort zone and never venture out to confront your fears ….. consequently you stew (maybe for years) and possibly eventually implode.

It’s only through facing your fears that you will be able to succeed and progress, and become fulfilled, by realising that fear is only an illusion (albeit a very strong one all the same!). Let’s make it absolutely clear that fear itself can’t actually kill you – I’ve seen lots of people wet themselves on a rollercoaster but none who actually died!!

One of my earliest memories of fear was when I was a teenager after I made the mistake of telling who I thought was a trusted next-door neighbour about my cross-dressing feelings. It made me realise that once your secret is out you can never take it back!

“Well, when I said ‘I like wearing women’s clothes’ I didn’t really MEAN it! What I really meant to say was ‘I like the way you look in the women’s clothes you’re wearing’”

This doesn’t really work, does it? Because the next thing I knew my father was telling me that if it ever happened again he’d “take me to see the doctor!” In retrospect this could have been the best thing to happen at the time, on the other hand it could have been disastrous, bearing in mind that this was in the mid-1970’s. I don’t think my parents ever did find my hidden stash of clothes and make-up and if they did, they never said any more about ‘it’.

So, from that early harsh lesson, my reaction was to retrench further into my hidden closet, and in time the only reason to let anyone in on my feelings was on a ‘need to know’ basis, or if I was ASOLUTELY SURE of the person.

A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then and I’m now totally comfortable in my own skin to ‘face my fear …. And do it anyway’ – have been for years.

Through Henri’s other stages of hard work, persistence, action, and determination, I’m now fulfilled in my dual roles. And I have lots of friends and acquaintances to thank for their help en route. You all know who you are, and I include Lynne and the girls at Femesque as part of my happy band of ‘significant others’!

It’s a well-known fact that we are never always able to control other people or events that happen in our lives, but we ARE able to control what we think and how WE react to people and events that we come into contact with. If thoughts become things then the simple approach to fulfilment is to think the nice, bold ones.

It surely follows then that you CAN make your dreams come true. And if that means ‘finding the inner woman inside you’ why not adopt the Nike approach:

“Just do it!”

Lynne and the girls at Femesque provide help and support to anyone who has the inner resolve to take that first step into the unknown. And once you’ve taken the first step then it’s not ‘unknown’ anymore, is it?! You don’t have to go to Femesque fully made up and dressed, just make the initial phone call and you will immediately feel at ease and still in the safety of your comfort zone.

Soon you will be able to do things you’ve never done before or feel like you’ve never felt before ……. And then you’ll be amazed at what may happen!

Let me know how you get on and maybe one day we can swap stories. Did I ever tell you about the time ….. ? Oh well, that’s for another day!

And if you want to feel truly elated contact me about coming to the next Enigma Ball at Bletchley Park Mansion Ballroom in November and have the night of your life!

Have fun, laugh lots, think big, and “Just Effing Do It!”

Big hugs and lots of kisses

Kathy

<span
